40 years ago Central City Churches Outreach Ministry was founded by eight congregations from five Christian denominations, all located along Wisconsin Avenue in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The ministry now operates with the support of more than 350 volunteers who strive to equip those in need with access to vital resources to instill and cultivate a sense of self-sufficiency. The Outreach Ministry serves individuals and families with limited or no income and individuals who are homeless or have inconsistent or insecure housing. Each month over 2,000 people are served with emergency food, hot meals, and other crucial necessities.

All are welcome with dignity and respect.

Operating from Our Savior's Lutheran Church, The Outreach Ministry strives to support those in need with care and hope, providing access to good nutrition, referrals to professional resources, and tools to aid community members in accessing employment that pays a living wage. This work carries deep meaning and purpose in the Milwaukee community that continues to battle discrimination, hyper-segregation, and injustice.
